Baby Giggles was created by Sacramento, California mom, Patrice Lee DeHart.  “I was playing with my 9-month old son when a baby appeared on the television.  He went crazy!  I started searching for videos featuring real babies that he could interact with.  We couldn’t find anything that included the most important part, the baby giggles!  It was then that I knew I had to make this video,” she says.

 Quality picture and sound were top priorities for DeHart.  She hired Bob Murphy of Murphy Productions, Inc. to film it.  “We created a cocoon-like atmosphere where the babies would feel safe and comfortable with mom and dad nearby,” she says, “The trick was in getting the babies to giggle.”  Lucky for DeHart, her years of experience with children and in theatre paid off.  The babies responded better than she could have imagined.

 But where did she find the gorgeous babies?  She called on top casting director, Sandy Quen, of Sandy Quen Casting.  She personally, hand picked over 150 babies and small children to be filmed.  “I wanted beautiful babies of every ethnicity and Sandy delivered!” says DeHart.   

With over 14 hours of footage, editing was an arduous process.  “My husband, Darryl, and I spent countless hours choosing just the right footage,” she says.  She and her husband also wrote the theme song for the video, appropriately titled, “Baby Giggles”.

 “What would life be without laughter?  It’s so important to each of us, no matter what our age," says DeHart, "These babies remind us what a miracle life is and to be joyful about it.  We're so proud of this video!  We hope everyone enjoys it!”.
